Good night sleep cures loneliness

We are a social species and we need to carry out communication every day in order to live. Researchers from the University of California found that sleep is closely connected with how we communicate. But this study is not new. Sleep and loneliness were linked by John Cacioppo in 2002. Later, numerous experiments from other parts of the world have shown the same result: sleep deprivation really does have great impact on how we interact in society. As you can see, good night sleep makes a person more open to new people preparing them for efficient interaction, and, on the contrary, the worse sleep we get the less productive we are and the fewer social contacts we are eager to make. But when it comes to deep feeling of loneliness, bad quality of sleep is just one of the factors, not the main reason standing behind it. "Loneliness is complex" says Alice Stride, a spokeswoman for the Campaign to End Loneliness. For some people experiencing loneliness, the idea that poor-quality sleep can be improved, and can reduce their social isolation, may be a wake-up call. Anyway, this field still needs to be properly examined since it has not been decided yet whether loneliness can cause sleep deprivation or deprivation can cause loneliness. Nevertheless, it is becoming clear that persistent loneliness and social isolation can have profound health consequences more dangerous than obesity.

  1. N. Yu.: Sophia's problem
She can't publish comments from her home computer.
For example, problems logging in: keeps being logged out for some reason. Uses Google Chrome. But no problem logging in or publishing when at the university
